Raceway. Midway through the schedule, and with eight races remaining in the regular season, Suárez is ninth in points. Just 15 laps into the 110-lap event, Suárez was forced to pit when the left-front tire on the No. 7 Freeway Insurance Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 began going down. Despite the setback and handling struggles, the Monterrey, Mexico native worked his way through the field and climbed as high as 14th before a fuel stop under green in the Final Stage shuffled him back in the running order. He ultimately crossed the finish line in 31st. After a seven-year hiatus, the NASCAR Cup Series returns to Chicagoland Speedway in Joliet, Ill., on Sunday, July 5. The eero 400 will be broadcast live on TNT beginning at 6 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time (EDT). The 19th of 36 points-paying races on the NASCAR Cup Series schedule will be broadcast live on the Motor Racing Network and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio Channel 90. Daniel Suárez, driver of the No. 7 Freeway Insurance Chevrolet Camaro for Spire Motorsports: “It was a frustrating day for our No. 7 Freeway Insurance Chevrolet. We had an early tire going down that put us behind, and from there we just couldn’t find the right balance. The rear of the car never felt the way we needed it to, and that made it tough to make up ground. My team kept working hard and made adjustments all day, but we just couldn’t get the car where it needed to be. We’ll learn from this one, keep digging, and come back stronger next week.”
