Notes:

  • Trackhouse Racing driver Daniel Suárez finished 23rd in Sunday’s 400-lap NASCAR Cup Series race at Richmond (Va.) Raceway.
  • The result puts Suárez 17th in the 2023 point standings.
  • Suárez had a fast car for most of the race, but he ran out of new tires at the end of the race and dropped from 15th to 23rd during the final restart on the older tires.
  • At one point Suárez was the fastest car on the on the D-shaped, .75-mile oval.
  • Suárez raced into the top-10 in the first stage before making an extra pitstop and climbing back to 15th.
  • In Stage 2, Suárez fell off the lead lap after contact with leader Kyle Larson on pit lane before he returned to the lead lap and finished 13th.
  • Rain canceled all practice and qualifying Saturday.
  • The next race is Sunday, April 9 on Fox at 7 p.m. EDT at Bristol (Tenn.) Motor Speedway Dirt.
