Notes:

  • Trackhouse Racing driver Daniel Suárez finished 19th in Sunday’s 400-mile NASCAR Cup Series race at Richmond (Va.) Raceway.
  • Suárez is 13th in the season standings after 24 of 36 races.
  • Both Trackhouse Chevrolets struggled with handling on the .75-mile, D-shaped oval each finishing two laps behind the leaders. Only 11 cars finished on the lead lap.
  • Suárez started 24th and held his position in the opening stage telling the crew his car wouldn’t turn in the center of the turns. He finished 21st in the first stage and 26th in the second stage falling down a lap to the leaders.
  • The NASCAR Cup Series returns to action Sunday at Watkins Glen (N.Y.) International.
