Notes:

  • Trackhouse Racing driver Daniel Suárez finished 15th in Sunday’s AdventHealth 400 NASCAR Cup Series race at Kansas Speedway in Kansas City.
  • The finish moves Suárez to 16th in the season point standings.
  • After running at the front early in the race, both Trackhouse cars were deep in the field when the race resumed with 56 laps remaining.
  • Suárez used a set of scuffed tires to race to 15th.
  • Suárez’s team had saved a set of new tires hoping for a caution that would give them an advantage in the closing laps. Despite a race record 11 cautions, the yellow flag never came out when it was needed for the No. 99 team.
  • The Trackhouse Chevrolet jumped out quickly with Suárez finishing fifth in Stage 1.
  • Suárez encountered front end damage and struggled with handling before pitting for repairs during a caution.
  • Both drivers pitted in the closing laps of the second stage and finished outside the points.
  • The next race is Sunday’s Goodyear 400 at Darlington (S.C.) Raceway. FS1 will broadcast the race at 3 p.m. EDT.

Daniel Suárez, driver of the No. 99 Worldwide Express Chevrolet Camaro for Trackhouse Racing:

“It was an up and down day for us. I think we had a really good Worldwide Express Chevrolet. We had some damage early and that hurt us for a while. We could have used a caution there at the end. We were one of the few teams that still had fresh tires. If we keep running this fast we are going to be fine.”
