Notes:

  • Daniel Suárez finished 16th in Sunday’s NASCAR Cup Series race at Richmond (Va.) Raceway.
  • The finish moved Suárez to 23rd in the season standings after nine races.
  • Suarez started 27th and finished 24th in Stage 1.
  • In Stage 2, a timely caution on lap 142 about 13 laps before Suárez would have made a scheduled pit stop jumped the No. 99 up to 10th.
  • Suárez kept the No. 99 Chevrolet at the front of the field finishing Stage 2 in 15th.
  • Suárez held his own in the final stage, that saw only one caution, and finished 16th.
  • The NASCAR Cup Series return to action Sunday April 25 at Talladega (Ala.) Superspeedway. Fox will broadcast the race at 2 p.m. EDT.
