  • Suárez was unhurt, but the damage on the No. 99 was too extensive to continue racing.
  • The NASCAR Cup Series returns to action Sunday at Phoenix Raceway in Avondale, Arizona.

Daniel Suárez, driver of the No. 99 CommScope Chevrolet Camaro for Trackhouse Racing:

“I haven’t seen the replay yet, so I’m not sure what happened. I do know that the No. 14 (Chase Briscoe) clipped me in the right rear. The reason why, I don’t know.

I don’t know what to say. He got loose and he clipped me. He didn’t do it intentionally, but it was unfortunate.

We are disappointed but I think we had a fast car and obviously Ross had a good day as well. I can’t wait for Phoenix next week.”
