Notes:

  • Daniel Suárez finished 36th in Sunday’s NASCAR Cup Series race at Road America in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin.
  • The finish moved Suárez to 22nd in the season standings after 20 races.
  • Suárez qualified 11th Sunday morning before the race.
  • Suárez took the green flag and raced in the top 10, but on lap 3 he stopped on the track with transmission issues.
  • The No. 99 replaced the transmission and returned him to the track about 10 laps behind the leader.
  • Suárez raced as fast as the leaders when he returned and climbed from 40th to 36th before the checkered flag.
  • Sunday stopped a streak of five consecutive top-15 finishes for the Trackhouse Racing team.
