Point Standing: 19th with 273 points

Notes:

  • Suárez started 19th and immediately showed his car was one of the fastest on the track climbing to sixth by lap 10.
  • He moved into the top five by the lap 40 mark and appeared ready to contend for victory.
  • Those hopes were dashed on lap 61 when a cut left rear tire sent the car into a spin and into the wall. The team made repairs on the damaged car and returned Suárez to the track three laps down in 35th.
  • He continued racing the rest of the race with the wounded car ultimately finishing 33rd many laps down.

Daniel Suárez, driver of the No. 99 CommScope Chevrolet Camaro for Trackhouse Racing:

“That was so disappointing. We had a great car today. I wish we could have been there at the end of the race and fought for the win. We cut a tire right in the center of the corner. It was super bad timing. If it had happened a few seconds before or a few seconds later I could have saved it. I will tell you, if we keep bringing cars like that to the track, we will win a race this year.”
