  • Daniel Suárez finished 13th on the Roval in Sunday’s NASCAR Cup Series race at Charlotte Motor Speedway.
  • Suárez is 25th in the season standings after 32 of 36 races.
  • Suárez started 25th Sunday and struggled with handling issues at the beginning of the race.
  • The Trackhouse crew made major adjustments to lower the car and the No. 99 began showing speed.
  • After finishing 17th in the first stage he ran in the top five in the second stage.
  • Suárez likely would have scored a top-10, but chose to pit and finished 14th in stage 2.
  • That stop enabled him to start the final stage in seventh. He climbed as high as fourth in the final stage, but cars with newer tires dropped him down the running order.
  • Suárez dodged several accidents in the final laps and finished 13th.

“I think we had more potential than we showed today. We were pretty bad at the beginning but took a big swing to lower the car and got it a lot better. I think we could have even been better if we had more stops to work on the car. We will keep working and getting better.”
