Races May 1, 2025 Wendys Chevrolet Leads Laps, Finishes 9th Date: April 27th, 2025 Event: Jack’s Link 500 (Round 10 of 36) Series: NASCAR Cup Series Location: Talladega (Ala.) Superspeedway (2.66-mile oval) Format: 188 laps, broken into three stages (60 laps/60 laps/68 laps) Start/Finish: 24th / 9th (Running, completed 188 of 188 laps) Notes: Trackhouse Racing’s Daniel Suárez finished 9th in Sunday’s 500-mile NASCAR Cup Series race at Talladega (Ala.) Superspeedway. Suárez led twice for two laps and overcame a speeding penalty that put him a lap behind the leaders before rallying late for the ninth-place finish. The first stage saw nine rows of four-wide racing for the first 30 laps before an accident during a pit cycle and another on the restart forced a four-lap shootout. All three Trackhouse drivers survived the frantic finish. Suárez finished 17th. The second stage ran caution-free with Suárez racing in the top five for most of the laps. A late-race green flag pit stop cycle resulted in Suárez incurring a speeding penalty. Suárez finished 32nd. The NASCAR Cup Series returns to action on Sunday, May 4, at Texas Motor Speedway near Fort Worth. Daniel Suárez, driver of the No. 99 Wendy’s Frosty Chevrolet Camaro for Trackhouse Racing: “It was an up-and-down day for the No. 99 Wendy’s Frosty Chevrolet team. I wasn’t in love with the balance of the car. I thought the speed was decent, but I just felt like the balance of the car, we have a little bit of work to do to fight consistently at the front. We made a couple of mistakes on pit road, but when it counted the most at the end, we executed well.”
