Notes:

  • Trackhouse Racing’s Daniel Suárez finished seventh in Saturday night’s 400-lap NASCAR Cup Series race at Richmond (Va.) Raceway.
  • Suárez drove to second from his 21st starting spot in the second stage, then battled in the top five most of the final stage before finishing seventh. It was his fifth top-10 of the season and second consecutive seventh-place finish.
  • Suárez charged from 27th to 10th in the all-green flag first stage. All three Trackhouse Racing Chevrolets pitted once during the stage.
  • Suárez started sixth in the second stage and kept going forward, finishing second.
  • The NASCAR Cup Series returns to action on Saturday night at Daytona (Fla.) International Speedway.

“It was a good night for the No. 99 Quaker State Chevrolet team. I wish it was a win, but overall, it was a decent night. There’s a couple of things we maybe could have done better, but our Chevrolet was a top-five or top-10 car all night long and that’s where we ended up. It’s good to get two top-10 finishes in a row.”
