Dover, Delaware, 2 de octubre de 2016.- The Monterrey pilot Daniel Suarez won on Sunday the Drive Sober 200 NASCAR XFINITY Series at Dover International Speedway in a race that was postponed to Sunday by rain on Saturday afternoon.
With the victory, the second of his career in NASCAR after winning in Michigan during the regular season, Suarez automatically qualified for the 2nd. round of the Chase for the NASCAR XFINITY Series, which will seek to become the first Mexican driver to achieve a championship in a national NASCAR series.
Ty Dillon finished in the 2nd. place after starting from last place, followed by Justin Allgaier, Ryan Blaney and Alex Bowman to complete the Top 5.
The NASCAR Sprint Cup Austin Dillon, Joey Logano and Kyle Busch were scheduled to participate in the race XFINITY Series on Saturday but as it was postponed to Sunday fuerion replaced by Regan Smith Ryan Blaney and Drew Herring, respectively, which altered competition level significantly.
NASCAR XFINITY Series will return to action next Friday at 8 PM, Eastern at Charlotte Motor Speedway for the 3rd. and last race of the first round of the Chase, where four riders will be eliminated from the post season.
